It’s common knowledge that birds fly south for the winter, however, that’s not the case for Claude Von Stroke and the rest of his Dirtybird crew. They’re flying East. Dirtybird records and The DoLab have information on their Dirtybird Campout: East Coast happening February 2-4, 2018 and we are egg-static, (*ba-dum tsk*). DBC East will be held at the Forever Florida Adventure Park campgrounds in St. Cloud, Florida for the festival’s first year on the east coast. Prepare for more fun games, activities, family vibes, lasting memories, and the never-ending opportunities of being part of the show.
What to expect at Dirtybird Campout: East Coast
Dirtybird Campout will be set at an awesome, new location on the East Coast for the first time. The fresh addition to the Dirtybird festival series will give plenty of opportunity for the Dirtybird fans on the opposite end of the country to attend an event of this nature. Forever Florida will have lush green surroundings and plenty of trees for Dirtybirdies to rest under when breaks are in need. The venue itself holds other activities that differ from the original Dirtybird Campout. Campers now have zip-lining, riding trail buggies, and nature tours to join in on more fun. More news will follow on how to sign up for these as the event draws closer.
Easy Camping Experience
Camping for Dirtybird Campout: East will be made easier thanks to the venue’s specialty in hosting camping events year round. The grasslands are spacious and flat for easy tent pitching. Meanwhile the vast amount of trees provide plenty of shade to keep campsites cool. Dirtybird is also offering camping packages for those birds flying in or the ones that just don’t feel like hauling all their camping gear. Camping packages offer a variety of sized tents and camping styles for up to four people.
Tent Kits/Camping Packages
The “All You Need Tent Kit” packages will be sold as one or two-person tents. It includes a tent, sleeping bag(s), air mattress(es), and pillow(s) which campers would pick up at at the box office. At the end of the weekend, campers have the option of taking their new camping gear with them or returning it for donations. DoLab and Dirtybird will donate the camping gear to child cancer patients and families through local Florida charities for summer camp experiences.
Similar to the kodiak camping option for West Coast Dirtybird Campout, East Coast Campout offers “The Glades Getaway Camp Package“. It will range from a queen bed to four cots in 16” bell tents. The Glades Getaway tents will be ready for campers upon arrival with awesome perks. For example, access to common areas, proper restrooms, and phone charging stations. Also included in the package are Dirtybird Campout canteens, a parking pass, two visitor wristbands, and more for a hassle free weekend.
Aside from the packages, campers are still able to bring RV’s and their own camping gear like previous campouts. Take a beak at the Florida campgrounds in the video just released by DoLab!
The Weekend Soundtrack
Phase 1 of the lineup has been released and we haven’t been able to keep our beaks shut about how awesome it is. As per usual there is a tasty mix between techno, house, and bass driven music. Acts such as: Ardalan, Claptone, Tiga, Sven Lochenhoer, and Pearson Sound are causing hoots of excitement in what epicness will partake that weekend and this is just the beginning of it. Stay tuned for phase 2 and more artist announcements as the Dirtybird Campout: East Coast draws near.
There are so many things to expect from the first annual Dirtybird Campout: East Coast. The venue will feature an array of activities and games for every camper to enjoy. The festival’s inclusiveness is what really what makes it so unique. The more we read about the activities the more we wonder: how do we fit this all into one weekend? With the festival only few months away we anticipate what it bestows upon us in the announcements to come. Dirtybird Campout: East Coast will mark a completely new beginning for both old birds and new. It allows new experiences that will last a lifetime and create new friendships in places never seen.
