Hearts are heavy today in New York City and beyond as we learn that legendary promoter and director of bookings/promotions at Pacha NYC, Rob Fernandez, has passed away. From throwing a loft parties in his early days to climbing the ranks to run one of the biggest Manhattan super-clubs for the past decade, his loss is felt throughout the entire dance music community.
Friends of Fernandez remember him for his incredible work ethic, positive attitude, and smile that could melt the coldest of hearts. He created a house-music movement with his weekly Dance. Here. Now. parties at Cielo, and brought EDM to the masses with RPM Presents, a joint venture with Pacha owner Eddie Dean. The strong foundation that he has built for NYC nightlife will last for years and years to come, and his presence will truly be missed. Our thoughts are with his son, family and friends at this time.
Rest in Peace, Rob. We’ll keep dancing just for you.
